B&B Chambres d’Hôtes des Gens Heureux is located a few minutes walk from the typically French village of Saint-Hippolyte-du-Fort (Gard). When you arrive from Nîmes or Le Vigan, discover the beautiful valley at the foothills of the Cevennes where Saint-Hippolyte-du-Fort nestles. The village, “Gate of the Cevennes”, is a crossroads between the land of chestnut trees and that of the vines. Located at the foot of the southern slope of the Cevennes National Park and less than one hour drive from the Mediterranean Sea.
In the Cevennes National Park you can take wonderful walks, motorbike or car rides. Enjoy breathtaking landscapes, such as the Cirque de Navacelles, beautiful waterfalls and impressive views, such as on the Mont Aigoual. You can also enjoy sports activities in the immediate vicinity, such as canoeing, via ferrata, cycling or mountain biking. In addition to this beautiful nature, you can also immerse yourself in the many cultural and historical villages and towns in the area, such as Sauve, Uzès, Anduze, Montpellier and Nîmes. If you like the sea, you can lounge on the beaches of La Grande Motte, Le Grand Travers, Le Grau-du-Roi and Sète.
